Santa Fe Burger - Bobby Flay's Burgers, Fries & Shakes

Now that it's finally getting warm out we are excited to start using our grill again. We have had Bobby Flay's Burgers, Fries & Shakes books for quite a while and tried almost all of the recipes for burgers at one time or another. The Santa Fe Burger is actually one of our favorites and we have had it several times in the past. This is the first burger that we have made so far this grilling season.

The crunch of the chips, creaminess of the cheese sauce, and a little hint of heat from the roasted poblanos all work together to give wonderful flavor to this burger. The recipe makes a lot of cheese sauce, so as a bonus it is easy to dip chips in come of the extra sauce. Hubby and I both enjoy this burger as a meal.

The boys are not such fans of the extra flavors added to the burger, so that means that there were plenty of toppings for Hubby and I to enjoy on our burgers. Another great thing about grilling season is that I usually get a night or two off of cooking each week. Now I really enjoy cooking, but it is nice to have a night off once in a while too. And the smell of the charcoal grill as it is heating up and cooking the food is just amazing. Even if grilling was not the plan that night when you smell another neighborhood grill heating up it makes a person crave a burger.

Tonight it was our house causing those cravings and this burger is definitely worth craving!
